Diploma of Engineering Technology (Railway System)
Diploma Teknologi Kejuruteraan (Sistem Rel)
The Diploma of Engineering Technology in Railway System programme is approach to the concept 2u1i as a mode of study. Two years will learn the UniKL MIDI and one year will attach to the industry rail. In the two years is start from semester 1 to 5 will learn all subject Mathematical, Applied Sciences, Analysis of materials, and Railway principal and engineering technology. In the one year will attach in industry at semester 5 for ROLLING STOCK AND MAINTENANCE (WBL), SIGNALLING AND COMMUNICATION (WBL), FINAL YEAR PROJECT and semester 6 will do the INDUSTRIAL TRAINING.

Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and railway engineering specialisation principles to well-defined practical procedures and practices.

Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using codified methods of analysis specific to railway field of activity.

Design/ Development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined railway technical problems and assist with the design of system, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Investigation: Conduct Investigation of well-defined railway problems: locate and search relevant codes and catalogues, conduct standard tests and measurements.

Modern tool usage: Apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools to well-defined railway engineering problems, with an awareness of the limitations.

- Recognised related Technical/Vocational/Skills qualifications AND an adequate and relevant bridging programme; OR
- Matriculation Technical or Science Stream
