Overview
The Doctor of Philosophy (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) by Research at Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI) is a research intensive doctoral programme that prepares graduates to become independent researchers, innovators, and leaders in engineering. The programme focuses on producing original research that addresses contemporary challenges in electrical and electronic engineering, including intelligent systems, communication technologies, embedded systems, automation, power and energy, image and signal processing, and artificial intelligence. Under the guidance of experienced supervisors, candidates conduct advanced research culminating in a doctoral thesis that contributes to new knowledge, technological innovation, and sustainable solutions for academia, industry, and society.

Entry Requirements
i. A master’s degree in the field or related field as approved by the UniKL Senate; AND
ii. English requirement for international applicants is a minimum score of 5.0 (IELTS) or 500 (TOEFL PBT) or equivalent.
