Foundation for “Science Po.” and Business Management Schools in France (Pre-France SPBM)

Program Learning Outcomes

Overview

The Pre-France programme is a 13-month preparatory programme aimed at students with academic excellence to pursue their studies in France through our collaboration partners.The programme is designed to prepare students for undergraduate studies in business, management, international relations, and multidisciplinary social sciences at leading French institutions.

Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute has been aptly chosen to be the centre for this preparatory programme as it stresses on the concept of teaching and learning in the French way.

Through the France Collaboration Programme (FCP) Section, the Pre-France programme was developed through the actual experience of those who have gone through years of experience of living and studying in France, thus making this programme a success.

The Pre-France programme is open to qualified SPM and IGCSE graduates. Students may apply as self-funded applicants or through available sponsorship pathways including the Young Talent Development Programme (YTP) by MARA and PROGRAM KHAS JEPUN, KOREA, PERANCIS, JERMAN (JKPJ) by JPA.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The objectives of the program are to:

    Competent and forward-thinking in their political science and business studies and capable of pursuing business and technopreneurial ventures.

    Effective leaders who demonstrate professionalism, ethics, social responsibility, and a commitment to sustainability, with good teamwork and communication skills.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Upon completion of the programs, students will be able to:

  • PLO1
    Utilise facts to describe and discuss concepts, principles, and processes in Mathematics, Science, Business and Humanities.
  • PLO2
    Apply fundamental principles in Mathematics, Science, Business and Humanities to identify and solve problems.
  • PLO3
    Conduct academic activities such as collect, analyse, organise, and process data/information to make conclusions individually or in groups.
  • PLO4
    Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • PLO5
    Utilise basic digital technology applications to seek and process data related to Mathematics, Science, Business and Humanities.
  • PLO6
    Seek, interpret, and apply relevant information to pursue lifelong learning independently while demonstrating awareness of business and technopreneurship.

Education Pathway

For Pre-France SPBM, students could choose to pursue their studies in Political Sciences or Business Management in France. Students who successfully complete the foundation programme and meet sponsor’s requirements will make their way to France and enrol in the first year of the university of choice. 13 months at UniKL MFI

  • Intensive french language course by native speakers
  • History, Sciences Po Skills, Economics and other related subjects aiming to familiarise students with French methodology.
  • Graduate with a foundation in Pre-France programme

2 months upon arrival in France

  • Bridging programme, hosted by french families
  • Intensive french language courses
  • Cultural visits

3/4 years for Bachelor’s

  • Students enrol in their chosen University
  • 3 or 4 years depending on the University of choice
  • Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree

2 years for Master’s

  • Upon completion of Bachelor’s degree, students could apply for a Master’s degree programme. *subject to sponsor’s approval
  • Graduate with a Master’s degree
Entry Requirements

Local Students

  • Meet the minimum requirements of the Program Standard / professional body requirements / MQA recommendations that are in force for student intake during that period; OR
  • Other qualifications that were recognized as equivalent by the Government.

a). Any changes to the Program Standard / professional body requirements / MQA recommendations will only apply to new student cohorts.

b). The implementation of entry requirements based on the Program Standard / professional body requirements / MQA Recommendations applies according to the provisions stated in the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) circular at the time of enforcing the application of a particular Program Standard / professional body requirements / MQA Recommendations.
