Program Learning Outcomes
Programme Overview
The Foundation in Arts is a comprehensive pre-university programme designed to equip students with essential knowledge and skills for further studies in related disciplines. This one-year programme offers a balanced curriculum that integrates fundamental subjects in business, humanities, and social sciences, with a strong emphasis on business principles, communication, and analytical thinking. Students will be introduced to key areas such as economics, accounting, management, marketing, and basic mathematics for business, alongside critical thinking, academic writing, and information technology.
Upon successful completion, students will be well-prepared to pursue degrees in business, management, economics, accounting, finance, marketing, and other related fields.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)
- PEO1: UniKL graduates who are able to explain concepts, theories and principles in business by showing optimum knowledge, competency and innovativeness.
- PEO2: UniKL graduates who are effective leaders with teamwork skills as well as verbal and non-verbal interpersonal skills.
- PEO3: UniKL graduates who are able to apply information to solve problems and committed towards the importance of lifelong learning as well as continuous improvement.
- PEO4: UniKL graduates who are able to apply professionalism, ethics and social responsibility in sourcing and processing data using appropriate digital / technology applications.
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)
- PLO1: Apply a solid understanding of fundamental business concepts, including principles of management, marketing, finance, accounting, and economics.
- PLO2: Analyze business problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and make informed decisions using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- PLO3: Demonstrate effective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations, reports, and business correspondence.
- PLO4: Understand the importance of ethical behavior in business, including able to work effectively in teams, demonstrate leadership skills, and contribute positively to group projects and activities.
- PLO5: Proficient in using relevant business technologies and software, such as spreadsheets, databases, presentation tools, and digital communication platforms, to support business operations and decision-making.
- PLO6: Recognize a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, engaging in ongoing self-directed learning activities to stay updated with evolving business practices, technologies, and industry trends throughout their careers.

Qualifications from other (International Student) education institutions recognized by the Malaysian Government:
- Students must complete 11 years of schooling and obtain a general pass in Secondary School Certificate with minimum Grade C in five (5) subjects; OR
- O-levels or equivalent with minimum Grade C in five (5) subjects.

International Student:
RM 9,000.00 (Per Semester)

Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.
Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.
Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
