Programme Overview
Foundation in Science and Technology for Korean Universities is a programme designed to prepare students for bachelor’s degree programs at Korean universities. It is a pioneering initiative in Malaysia, using Korean as the primary language for teaching and learning. This programme offers sponsorship through the MARA’s Young Talent Development Programme (YTP) for eligible candidates, while also providing the option for self-sponsorship.
Programme Aims
- To produce foundation graduates who will undergo their Bachelor’s Degree in the field of science and technology.
- To develop students who are knowledgeable, competent and competitive, with positive values, as aspired by the National Education Philosophy, who will later become professionals and leaders of the country.
- To continuously enhance knowledge and skills among the students to fill the void in certain fields in the country.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
- PEO1: UniKL graduates who are knowledgeable and competent in Engineering, Science and Technology
- PEO2: UniKL graduates who are capable to apply the principles of Engineering, Science and Technology in problem solving
- PEO3: UniKL graduates who are able to communicate effectively verbal and non-verbal either individual or in group
- PEO4: UniKL graduates who are committed to the importance of lifelong learning and continuous improvement
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
- PLO1: Acquire knowledge and principles of basic Engineering, Science and Technology.
- PLO2: Apply the basic principle of the subjects learned into practice using variety of methods, techniques and experiments.
- PLO3: Practice effective communication and professionalism, with ethics and social responsibility to support their independent study in Korean universities.
- PLO4: Adapt to the environmental changes for them to pursue their tertiary education in Korea.
- PLO5: Practice effective information retrievals that involve the efforts of independent learning in acquiring skills and new knowledge.

- Physics 1 (S&T) / Digital Graphic Visualization (Animation)
- Fundamental of Information Systems (S&T) / Character Design and Layout (Animation)
Semester 3
- Korean Language 3

- Etika dan Jati Diri
- Object Oriented Programming (S&T) / Story Building (Animation)
- Physics 2 (S&T) / Introduction to Animation Principles (Animation) / Chemistry (S&T) / 3D Technology (Animation)
- Pass in SPM/SPMV with at least five (5) credits including Mathematics and two (2) science subjects, with a pass in Bahasa Melayu and English; OR
- Pass in O-Level with at least Grade C in five (5) subjects including English, Mathematics, two (2) science subjects and one (1) other subject; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications.
- Pass in SPM/SPMV with at least five (5) credits and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and English; OR
- Pass in O-Level with at least Grade C in five (5) subjects; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications.
Tuition Fee Local Students:
- Full Time: RM 11,000.00 (Per Semester)
- Total Tuition Fee: RM 33,000.00
- Full Time: RM 14,300.00 (Per Semester)
- Total Tuition Fee: RM 42,900.00

Program Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.
Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.
Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
