Overview

The Masters of Engineering Technology in Industrial Automation aims to provide graduates with advanced knowledge and competencies to carry out research and development in Robotics, Industrial Automation, Design and Modelling of Robotics Systems, and Technopreneurial activities.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)
  • PEO 1 :
    Apply in-depth water science and engineering knowledge – Competent and innovative in their professional works.
  • PEO 2 :
    Manage and communicate effectively – In leading and engaging multidisciplinary teams in solving global water science and engineering problems at national and international level.
  • PEO 3 :
    Advance knowledge and skill – Continue to advance their knowledge and skill in water science and engineering for lifelong learning and possess the ability to communicate effectively for scholarly contributions in enhancing technical knowledge.
  • PEO 4 :
    Ethical responsibility – Demonstrate ethical responsibilities including social issues, safety and environmental awareness and continuously engage in personal and professional growth.
  • PEO 5 :
    Technopreneurship – Explore and/or embark on business and technopreneurial activities in the field of water science and engineering and promote sustainable economic development to meet the global demands and dynamics.
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)
  • PLO1:
    Demonstrate in-depth and frontier knowledge and understanding in water and hydropower engineering fields and practice.
  • PLO2:
    Critically and creatively apply knowledge in water and hydropower engineering or more fields to resolve complex disciplinary and practical problems.
  • PLO3:
    Conduct credible problem solving or investigation to resolve complex issues and questions in water & hydropower engineering.
  • PLO4:
    Conduct research or investigation with minimal supervision adhering to legal, ethical, professional and sustainable practice.
  • PLO5:
    Demonstrate leadership qualities through collaboration with peers and others.
  • PLO6:
    Communicate and interact effectively with peers in the field/s as well as general audience

Entry Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering Technology or Bachelor degree from Universiti Kuala Lumpur with minimum CGPA of 2.50;
  • Bachelor degree (Honours) with CGPA of 2.50 from local or overseas university as approved by Senate, Universiti Kuala Lumpur;
  • Bachelor degree with 2 years working experience in related field with professional qualification as approved by Senate, Universiti Kuala Lumpur;
  • ELTS band 6.5;
  • TOEFL 600;
  • English Placement Test (EPT) band 6.5 conducted by Centre;

Program Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.

Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.

Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
