UniKL ARTS Festival 2023: UBIS claims overall winner title

Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School (UBIS) emerged as the undisputed UniKL ARTS Festival 2023 champion, seizing the coveted overall winner title.

The campus not only clinched the prestigious trophy but also secured a substantial RM50,000 capital expenditure prize, marking a triumphant victory in the world of artistic expression.

This triumph was a dethroning moment for UBIS, as they seized the title from the previous overall winner, UniKL Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP).

The campus claimed victory in two distinct categories—Cultural Dance Competition and UniKL IDOL, with the latter being dominated by Muhammad Hafiz Mohd Jamal.

In addition to winning, the campus secured the titles of Best Choreography and Best Costume in the Cultural Dance Competition.

Hosted at UniKL British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI) on the 18th and 19th of November, the UniKL ARTS Festival 2023 unfolded under the theme “Harmony of Cultures.”

This theme, celebrating diversity and cultural exchange, transformed the festival into a melting pot of artistic expressions.

The festival, organised under the Student Development and Campus Lifestyle (SDCL) Department, offered a platform for traditional and contemporary performances and served as a reminder that art is a powerful tool for building bridges and promoting unity.

Looking ahead to the future, the baton for hosting next year’s festival passes to UniKL Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI).
