‘Halatuju TVET MARA’ to bolster TVET ecosystem

Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) welcomes Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s unwavering dedication to advancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), particularly within MARA’s educational institutions.

In pursuit of this shared vision, the ‘Halatuju TVET MARA’ initiative has been launched.

The Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), YB Datuk Hajah Rubiah Haji Wang, emphasised that the new project is designed to fortify the sustainability of the TVET ecosystem across all MARA educational institutions.

“The government will continue to support TVET education, championed by Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), including the planning of establishing new campuses in Perlis and Pahang,” she stated during her address at UniKL’s first session of the 20th Convocation Ceremony, which took place on November 4th.

These new campuses will specialise in sustainable logistics, water engineering, agricultural technology, and building technology, contributing to the growth and advancement of the TVET sector.

The overarching goal of TVET is to emerge as the preferred choice of study for students, nurturing highly skilled TVET talents that closely align with industry demands.

In doing so, it will significantly enhance the employability of its graduates.

For the record, the first session of UniKL’s 20th Convocation Ceremony was graced by the presence of Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Mustain Billah, who serves as the Chancellor of UniKL.
