MARA Corp hosted first Raya celebration at UniKL Business School

MARA Corporation Sdn Bhd (MARA Corp), a prominent Malaysian conglomerate, chose Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School (UBIS) as the venue for its first-ever celebration of subsidiaries in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The event, held yesterday, brought together a total of 5,246 staff members from various companies under the MARA Corp umbrella.

The highlight of the celebration was the showcase of culinary delights provided by each subsidiary in the form of decorated food stalls, told the Group Chief Executive Officer of MARA Corp, YBhg. Dato’ Julainie Mohd Salleh CA.

During the event, he further added that the celebration not only aimed to recognise the contributions of the subsidiaries but also foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among the MARA Corp workforce.

“It is also my great hope that this ceremony will further foster the spirit of teamwork among us,” he said during his opening remarks at the “Majlis Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Kumpulan MARA Corporation” ceremony.

The ceremony was not limited to the employees alone as students from UniKL were also included in the joyous occasion.

For the record, Universiti Teknikal MARA Sdn. Bhd, the operator of UniKL has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of MARA Corporation Sdn. Bhd., effective on 1 November 2021.

This acquisition marked the consolidation of UniKL with 11 other subsidiaries under the MARA Corp umbrella. These subsidiaries include MARA Incorporated Sdn Bhd, Pelaburan MARA Berhad (PMB), Glocal Link (M) Sdn Bhd, Rural Capital Berhad, Harta Prima Realties Sdn Bhd, MARA Excellent Ventures Sdn Bhd, Asia AeroTechnic Sdn Bhd, MARA Liner Sdn Bhd, MARA Aerospace and Technologies Sdn Bhd (MARA Aerotech), UNIMARA Sdn Bhd, and Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Sdn Bhd.
