UniKL MITEC extends warm welcome to ITL Trisakti delegation

The Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC) hosted an international mobility visit on the 24th of July, 2023, from their esteemed partner, Institut Transportasi Logistik (ITL) Trisakti, Indonesia.

The visit was a significant step in strengthening collaboration between the two institutions and promoting academic exchange in the fields of logistics and maritime transport management.

The delegation from ITL Trisakti consisted of 228 students pursuing degrees in Bachelor of Logistics Management and Bachelor of Maritime Transport Management, along with seven accompanying lecturers and staff.

According to UniKL MITEC, this is the highest student mobility number the institution has received since the pandemic.

Leading the delegation was the Head of Study Programme Bachelor of Management in Transportation & Logistics at ITL Trisakti, Dr. Basri Fahriza who was accompanied by Ms. Sekar Widyastuti Pratiwi, Ms. Deny Rahayu, Mr. Sigit Saptono, Ms. Ara, Mr. Edwin Lermata, and Mr. Nicky.

The welcoming session commenced with grace in the presence of UniKL MITEC’s Deputy Dean of International, Industrial, and Institutional Partnership (IIIP), Ts Dr. Mazlan Md Zahid; Deputy Dean of Academic and Technology, Ts Dr. Sallaudin Hassan; and Deputy Dean of Student Development and Campus Lifestyle, Dr. Khairul Firdaus Adrutdin.

During the visit, the ITL Trisakti delegation was given a comprehensive campus tour to familiarise themselves with UniKL MITEC’s state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure.

The tour aimed to showcase the university’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment for future leaders in the transportation and logistics industry.

A highlight of the visit was the industry immersion, which exposed the delegates to prominent transportation and logistics companies in the region.

The itinerary included visits to Shaziman Transport Sdn Bhd, a leading bulk petroleum transporter, as well as Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (LPJ) and Johor Port.

The exchange of knowledge and experiences is expected to foster a stronger relationship between the two institutions, leading to further collaboration in the future.
