From passion to excellence in France

A strong passion for the French language coupled with the aspiration to follow in his father’s footsteps as an engineer drove 19-year-old Muhammad Azamshah Islah Muhamad Nasir to enrol in the Pre-France Engineering Foundation Programme at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI).

The allure of the programme’s benefits justified his hard work, culminating in his graduation today with the title of Best Student Award.

Muhammad Azamshah Islah’s journey does not end here, as he is set to embark on a new chapter in France in a few weeks.

“I plan to complete my studies there and maybe after that, gain international and professional experience, then build my career,” told him.

Muhammad Azamshah Islah stood out among 76 graduates from the Pre-France programme, which also included 18 accomplished individuals from Pre-France Political Science & Business Management (PSBM).

This intensive 13-month foundation programme is tailored to equip students aspiring to pursue higher education in France.

For engineering enthusiasts like Muhammad Azamshah Islah, the journey continues at various Institute Universitaire de technologie (IUT) campuses for the initial two years.

Subsequently, doors open to further studies at Engineering Schools (École d’ingénieur / Grandes Écoles) or universities.

Conversely, students in the PSBM Programme will pursue their studies at selected Political or Business Management schools.

The excitement was palpable, particularly for Lim Kai Xian, 19, who is set to board a flight to France tonight.

Overflowing with gratitude for successfully completing the programme, Kai Xian, another recipient of the Best Student Award, aspires to adapt swiftly to life in France and hopes to explore the world during her free time.

“I feel very grateful, for all my lecturers, sponsors, friends and parents. They supported me really well. And I feel like I am so lucky to complete it successfully.

“I think the course was quite challenging, but after a while of adjustment, it became better and better,” remarked her, reflecting on her journey.

The graduation scrolls were conferred by the Acting President/Chief Executive Officer of UniKL, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin, and the event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Virginie Biouteau, Deputy Head of Mission at the French Embassy. Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tengku Mohd Azahar Tuan Dir, the Dean of UniKL MFI, was also in attendance.
