Putra Brand Awards 2021: UniKL secures Platinum

Momentous achievement of unbolting the new year of 2022.

Malaysia’s largest private technical entrepreneurial university, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) further strengthened its brand as the People’s Choice when it bagged the Putra Brand Platinum Awards in the Education and Learning category.

This award was conferred at a gala dinner held on 21 January 2022.

Meanwhile, UTP secured Gold, Taylor’s University and UNITAR (Silver), as well as Sunway Education Group, MMU, OUM and Monash University (Bronze) in the same category.

Acting Deputy President (Academic & Technology), Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Khairil Rahmat, who received the award on behalf of UniKL expressed the highest gratitude to all Malaysians for having trust and faith towards the university as an education provider.

“As I am representing the President of UniKL and the university, thank you for the Malaysians’ trust towards UniKL and this is very much aligned with the aspiration of the institution to become the preferred university especially in Higher Technical and Vocational Education and Training (HTVET).

“This award will surely spur UniKL to a greater height in education. Well done UniKL!” he exclaimed.

For the record, UniKL started embarking on this achievement at the Putra Brand Awards in 2016 by securing Bronze. As its brand braces, it was awarded Silver in 2018 and 2019 for the same category.

Despite the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, UniKL continued to soar by clinching the Putra Brand Gold Awards in 2020.

Putra Brand Awards is also known as the People’s Choice Award, where 6,000 consumers determined Malaysia’s favourite brand within multiple categories.

It was launched in 2010 by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) and is the only brand award in the country endorsed by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and supported by the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), the Media Specialists Association (MSA) and the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA).
