UniKL triumphs with double honours at Asia Automotive Award 2023

Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) clinched two medals at the 3rd Asia Automotive Award 2023, held at the IOI Grand Convention Centre on November 19, 2023.

Out of the 19 awards presented, UniKL secured victories in two significant categories: the Automotive EV Excellence Award and the Automotive R&D Excellence Award.

Notably, Dr Rifqi Irzuan Abdul Jalal, a senior lecturer from the Automotive Section at the UniKL Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI), representing UniKL, attended to receive both awards.

This remarkable feat distinguishes UniKL as a standout institution in the automotive sector, competing against participants from over 15 countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore.

The prestigious event celebrated the best of the Asian automotive industry, recognising outstanding contributions to innovation and groundbreaking strategies.

The competitive nomination process and grand awards ceremony underscore the significance of UniKL’s achievements, emphasising its commitment to excellence in the automotive field.

The gala event, hosted by Motonation, provided a platform to honour the winners and celebrate their remarkable contributions to the automotive industry.

According to Ir Dr Rifqi Irzuan, this recognition not only elevates UniKL but also Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) to new heights, solidifying the university’s commitment to excel in the Malaysian automotive landscape and establishing itself as a trusted and influential Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institute.
