Discussion on AMAR activities 01
In 2012, the Anti-Corruption Secretariat (now known as AMAR), or Angkatan Mahasiswa Antirasuah is an ambassador of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) which aims to spread the message of anti-corruption at the university level throughout Malaysia especially among UniKL students throughout Malaysia and to the general public.

AMAR is also monitored by IGU under ‘Integrity Enhancement’ function. A discussion with MACC, IGU UniKL and Centre of Student Development (CSD) UniKL was conducted to discuss the programme to carry out an awareness mission in fighting corruption in the community, to shape and develop integrity among youths as well as to develop student leadership skills as a role model for anti-corruption such as workshop, talk, convention, sharing session and so on.

Discussion on Integriti & Antirasuah Course
To support “Pelan Anti Rasuah Nasional 2019-2023” that was launched by our government on 29th January 2019. Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) took initiatives to introduce integrity through education, including expanding the subject of ‘Integrity and Corruption’ across all High Education Institutions and the addition of anti-corruption elements in civic subjects at the school level.

MACC has approached UniKL through Integrity & Governance Unit (IGU) to propose a subject related to Integrity and Corruption.

A discussion with the Centre of Student Development (CSD), Center for Instructional Technology & Curriculum Development (CITC), Essential & Spiritual Skills Central Committee (ESSCC) was made on 03 February 2020 discussing this issue.

Briefing Liability Corporate Sec. 17A
Section 17A – Corporate Liability is a new section under Malaysia Anti – Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009. It is the responsibility of the organization to prevent officer or staff from engaging in corruption and one of adequate procedure initiative to safeguard UniKL interest.

The Briefing/ talk was conducted to every department in UniKL Chancellery, Campuses and Subsidiaries. However, in February & March IGU only focus on the Department, Division in Chancellery & Subsidiary (URSB).

Briefing on IGU Function to New staff & Series of Briefing Liability Corporate Sec. 17A (Continue)

Train of Trainers (TOT) Modul Integriti & Anti Rasuah Course
Senate of Universiti Kuala Lumpur in Senate Meeting No. 100 (4/2020) on 28 April 2020 had endorsed two new courses for Matapelajaran Pengajian Umum (MPU). The courses “MPU 24102 (for all Diploma Programme) / MPU 34102 (for all Bachelor Programme) Integriti & Anti – Rasuah” are proposed to be offered to the Diploma and Bachelor students starting from September 2020 semester.
This course is introduced to instill good values among students and will help in creating an ethical society, the highest moral values and the highest integrity. In the long run, it helps to produce leaders who are trustworthy, morally clean and upright in the society
Train of Trainer (TOT) Programme was conducted through ‘face to face’ and ‘online’ to the trainers who will be teaching the course from 12 campuses and also attended by the representatives from Centre Quality Assurance, Centre for Student Development, also Integrity & Governance Unit who will be monitoring the teaching and learning of ‘Integriti & Anti Rasuah Course’.
This TOT speakers were from MACC.

Majlis Perasmian Kursus Integriti & Antirasuah, Buku Modul Integriti & Rasuah dan Website IGU
This event is a promotion on the ‘Integriti & Anti-Rasuah’ Course before being offered in September 2020. The ceremony was also go ‘live’ on UniKL’s Official Facebook Page and Instagram Page.
This course is a collaboration with Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) whereby the Module was provided by MACC. The Module Book by MACC was also launched during the ceremony as the Printed Module Book is now completed and will be used for teaching and learning for the first time.
The event also include the presentation of certificate who attended the Train of Trainers (TOT) of the Integriti & Anti – Rasuah Course on 01 & 02 July 2020.
And also officiated IGU Webpage in UniKL website to give awareness to staff and students on the existence of the Integrity & Governance Unit (IGU)

August 2020

Nomination AMAR for MACC – Sheikh Tamim Excellence Award
AMAR is one of initiative by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to instill and promote integrity among university students. UniKL was selected to nominated AMAR for Sheikh Tamim Award under category ‘Anti-Corruption Youth Creativity and Engagement’ for MACC. Nomination process was guided by MACC.

Online Competition
UniKL received funding from SPRM to conduct an online competition with anti-corruption theme that is specially targeted for UniKL students.
Pertandingan Facebook AMAR UniKL Paling Aktif and Pertandingan Skrip Drama Radio Anti-Rasuah UniKL was open from 3 August – 30 September 2020 that offer cash prizes up to RM 2000.

Workshop Penulisan Skrip Drama Radio Anti-Rasuah UniKL
Pn. Aminah Mokhtar, a renowned script writer was invited to conduct a workshop on script writing, in conjunction with Pertandingan Penulisan Skrip Drama Radio Anti-Rasuah UniKL. About 40 students participated in this workshop which was held on 26th August 2020 via Microsoft Teams and offline.

Briefing Liability Corporate Sec. 17A to City Campus/ UniKL MIIT
Section 17A – Corporate Liability is a new section under Malaysia Anti – Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009. It is the responsibility of the organization to UniKL to prevent officer or staff from engaging in corruption. And one of adequate procedure initiative to prevent from being charged under Section 17A.
UniKL MIIT kick-started the Integrity Tour to Campus, with a total of 92 staff attended this session, which was held on 2nd September 2020.
Previous session in February & March for Chancellery and URSB. Starting September, we extended the session to campus.

Integrity Talk at UniKL MIIT
A talk on ‘Mahasiswa Berintegriti’ was aimed to instill culture of integrity among students so they always hold strong ethical and moral principles. A total of 46 students joined the session conducted in hybrid; via Microsoft Teams and offline.

Visit Head Quarters of Malaysian Anti – Corruption Commission (MACC)
IGU had arranged a visit to MACC on 3rd September 2020 for the lecturers who will be teaching of ‘Integriti & Anti Rasuah’ Course to get some ideas about the process and facilities in MACC.

Discussion with PERUN, MACC on establishment of Integrity Pact UniKL and UniKL Anti-Corruption Plan
A discussion with Inspection & Consultation Division (PERUN) to discuss on UniKL Integrity Pact and to establishment UniKL Anti-Corruption Plan as an effort to create awareness on integrity and prevent corruption among UniKL staff from every level.

Talk on Corruption Risk Management and Organization Anti Corruption Plan (OACP) by MACC
UniKL is planning to develop its own OACP as fundamental document that tackles issues on Corruption, Integrity, and Governance. This is one of adequate procedure to prepare organisation in line with Section 17A MACC Act 2009. This briefing held on 9th September 2020 provides an overview on the OACP development and implementation process.
