Sarjana Muda Teknologi Kejuruteraan (Kepujian) Sistem Rel

Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Railway System main objective is to support the shortage of highly demand skill workers for the rail industries. BET RS degree programme directly related to the railway technology and shall support the shortage of highly demand railway technologist for our nations and global rail industries requirements. Due to the industries requirements, UniKL is producing Hands-on engineers via High-TVET Curriculum graduates. The taught programs is delivered by academics and industrialists to blend theory with practice and producing the next generation of railway engineers and professionals. Currently UniKL has blend in into main group of Local and International Railway companies.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Majors in engineering technology will be able to:

  • PLO 1
    Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to defined and applied Engineering Technology Railway System procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.
  • PLO 2
    Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature and solve broadly-defined Engineering Technology Railway System problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of specialization.
  • PLO 3
    Design/ Development of solutions: Design solutions for broadly-defined Engineering Technology Railway System problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
  • PLO 4
    Investigation: Conduct investigations of broadly-defined Engineering Technology Railway System problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusion.
  • PLO 5
    Modern tool usage: Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to broadly-defined Engineering Technology Railway System activities, with an understanding of the limitation.
  • PLO 6
    Individual and Team Work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a members or leader and in diverse technical teams.
  • PLO 7
    Communications: Communicate effectively on broadly-defined Engineering Technology Railway System activities with the engineering community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.
  • PLO 8
    The Engineer and Society: Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technology practice.

    Ethics: Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice.

    Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of engineering technology solutions in a societal and environmental context and demonstrate knowledge of Engineering Technology Railway System and need for sustainable development

    Project Management and Finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Engineering Technology Railway System management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team and to manage projects in multi discipline nary environments

Minimum MUET Band 2; DAN

  1. Lulus Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) atau setara dengan minimum Gred C (NGMP 2.00) dalam mata pelajaran Matematik dan satu (1) mata pelajaran Sains yang berkaitan; ATAU
  2. Lulus A-Level atau setara dalam mata pelajaran Matematik dan satu (1) mata pelajaran Sains yang berkaitan (MUET tidak diperlukan); ATAU
  3. Lulus Diploma Kejuruteraan (Tahap 4, KKM)/  / Teknologi Kejuruteraan (Tahap 4, KKM) yang diiktiraf atau setara, dengan PNGK 2.00 daripada Pemberi Pendidikan Tinggi (PPT) yang diiktiraf atau setara oleh Kerajaan Malaysia; (MUET tidak diperlukan jika Bahasa pengantar adalah Bahasa Inggeris); ATAU
  4. Lulus Diploma (Tahap 4, KKM) dalam bidang Vokasional/ Teknikal/ Kemahiran atau Sains yang berkaitan dan diiktiraf atau setara oleh Kerajaan Malaysia dengan mendapat minimum PNGK 2.00 (MUET tidak diperlukan jika Bahasa pengantar adalah Bahasa Inggeris); ATAU
  5. Lulus Diploma Teknologi (Tahap 4, KKM) daripada Kolej Vokasional dengan mendapat minimum PNGK 2.00 dan lulus Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) dengan mendapat PNGK Akademik sama atau lebih daripada 3.33; PNGK Vokasional sama atau lebih daripada 3.67 dan kompeten semua modul Vokasional; dan kepujian dalam Bahasa Melayu SVM kod 1104; ATAU
  6. Lulus Kursus Asas Sains dan Teknologi/ Kursus Asas Sains daripada UniKL dengan mendapat minimum PNGK 2.00 (MUET tidak diperlukan jika Bahasa pengantar adalah Bahasa Inggeris); ATAU
  7. Lulus Program Matrikulasi/ Asasi/ Persediaan dalam Bidang Kejuruteraan/ Teknikal/ Teknologi atau Sains daripada Pemberi Pendidikan Tinggi (PPT) yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan Malaysia dengan mendapat minimum PNGK 2.00 (MUET tidak diperlukan jika Bahasa pengantar adalah Bahasa Inggeris); ATAU
  8. Lulus International Baccalaureate dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya 24/45 mata termasuk Matematik dan salah satu mata pelajaran Sains. (MUET tidak diperlukan); ATAU
  9. Lulus Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya pangkat Jayyid DAN lulus SPM atau setara dalam mata pelajaran Matematik dan satu (1) mata pelajaran Sains yang berkaitan; ATAU
  10. Lulus Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (Tahap 4, KKM) dalam bidang berkaitan daripada PPT yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan Malaysia dengan minimum PNGK 2.00; ATAU
  11. Kelayakan lain yang diiktiraf setara dengannya oleh Kerajaan Malaysia.

Nota:
Bagi Pelajar Antarabangsa, skor Test of English Foreign Language (TOEFL) 500 atau International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 5.0 ATAU setara adalah diperlukan (kecuali).
Pelajar antarabangsa yang berasal dari negara yang menggunakan Bahasa Inggeris sebagai Bahasa pertuturan; ATAU
Pelajar antarabangsa yang menggunakan kelayakan akademik dari institusi yang menggunakan Bahasa Inggeris sebagai Bahasa pengantar sepenuhnya; ATAU
Pelajar antarabangsa yang telah mengikuti pengajian di Malaysia dan bercadang untuk melanjutkan pengajian ke peringkat lebih tinggi dengan tertakluk kepada perkara (b).
