The Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT), a leading aviation training institution in Malaysia, was founded in 1997 as a joint venture between MARA and Northrop-Rice, a US technology provider. Initially known as MARA-Northrop Rice Institute, UniKL MIAT achieved recognition as the first Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) by the Department of Civil Aviation, and was later honored by Frost and Sullivan as the Asia Pacific Aviation Workforce Development 2008. Renowned for its world-class facilities, including live workshops and hangars, as well as its highly skilled teaching staff, UniKL MIAT offers a comprehensive training program that adheres to international technical standards and industry requirements.
