Executive Diploma in Sports Science

Diploma Eksekutif Sains Sukan

The programme is designed to produce highly skilled professional graduates that is industry-ready for a career in sports science and management with strong aptitude towards technopreneurship, thus, upholding the vision and mission of the HEP.
In addition, as executive diploma is a formal alternative educational pathway for industrial workers who do not have the opportunity to follow an academic pathway program during their early life, this programme would give opportunity for athletes to develop and update skills and knowledge to be applied in the world of work. Executive diploma programme also able to address specific issues and urgent human resource needs in the sport-related industrial sectors, which are not given attention in traditional academic education.

    • Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPVM) with at least three credit (minimum grade C); OR
    • Pass O level with at least three credit (minimum grade C); OR
    • Pass Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) (MQF Level 3) in Sport Science qualification been recognized by JPK, government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.(Note: HEPs are required to conduct screening and provide appropriate bridging courses specific to the discipline of the programme); OR
    • Certificate level 3 MQF related to sport science qualification been recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate; OR
    • Pass Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) qualification and recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.

    • Note:
      SVM is recognized as equivalent to 3 credit SPM for candidates who obtain:

      • Academic CGPA is equal to or greater than 2.00;
      • Vocational CGPA is equal to or greater than 2.67 and competent in all vocational modules;
      • Credit in Bahasa Melayu with SVM Code 1104 and;
      • Pass Sejarah for graduate cohort 2013 – 2016


      AND

    • Candidate have at least three years’ experience in sport related industry
